    • Dave says:

      Hi Simon,

Apologies for the late reply and many, many thanks for your donation. I attended the show and shine you mentioned but cannot remember for the life of me which bike won! I will ask around the club and hopefully will get an answer to you! I do remember the light blue Lambretta LD winning best scooter, which in my opinion was a deserved winner. I hope to post pictures of the day soon.

      Thanks again, YISC.

      Good Evening Ty,

Great to hear from a long time scooterist! I don’t believe many of the club can hold a note between us (I may stand corrected!) However I will keep an ear out for a guitarist and pass them your way, good luck with your band and we hope to hear you soon! Cheers, YISC.

  6. Katie Leadbetter says:

Hi. I’m getting married on the 1st of July and my fiance is a massive mod and scooter fan. I wondered if some of your group would fancy having a ride up to York to surprise him?
    Thanks. Katie. X

    • Dave says:

      Good Evening Katie,

We would definitely like to help out on your big day. However, the day you mentioned appears to be a Friday and I fear that a lot of the club will be tied up with work commitments. Please could you provide further details on time, location and exactly what we can do to help and we will hope to be able to make something work. Many Thanks, YISC.

We are holding a village show on Saturday 20th August in Upper Poppleton. It is the first one we have held and we were wondering if you would be interested in popping over. We are also having some vintage cars and I think people in the village would love to see some of your scooters too. It would be from 12.30 pm until however long you would like to stay.

I look forward to hearing from you

I am organising a Winter Ball function in Nottingham in January 2017 and it would be great to have 2 or more bikes as centre pieces (1 x Mod style and 1 x Rocker style at least) in all their glory?

I’d like to use them as a photo shoot item too, so will have a few people climbing around on them. Please let me know if that sounds like something your group might be interested in :)

    Thank you,

  13. Laura Strangeway says:

    Good afternoon,

I hope that you do not mind me contacting you, I found your contact details online.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is hosting a bigger and better 60s Fest event on the 22nd and 23rd July and we have unfortunately been let down last minute for our 60s display at our Grosmont Station.

I would hugely appreciate whether you would be able to help us with sourcing a dozen or so, Scooters created in the 60s period to display over the weekend.

In return for your beautiful scooter display we would be happy to offer all the exhibitors free travel along the line over the weekend.

It would be great to develop a relationship and also would massively help us out, and in return we would be happy to promote your club.

    Many thanks,

    Laura Strangeway
